After the meeting I did some research on the aircards using an analog signal when there is no wireless service. I did not find anything on the Internet, so I contacted Verizon and spoke with a tech there. They claim there is no technology out there nor will they be creating anything like that. What he suggested which was interesting is to get an AOL CD that gives you a certain about of free hours and when you can't get a signal. Plug your laptop into a analog line using a dial up analog modem and log into AOL and get done what you need to do. I am not sure this really helps you. I am guessing your in a remote area and do not have access to a analog line to plug into and want the aircard to work using a wireless signal, but connecting to an analog signal. Below I have a few major carriers coverage maps. Hopefully this will help in choosing a aircard carrier that will work where you need to be!
